Ethical farming – more an honor for us than an obligation.
Eating meat inevitably means making decisions about the way animals live and die. Of course, everyone is allowed to choose how much responsibility they are willing to take on.
At Kreutzers.eu, we have made ethical farming an absolute top priority! All the way from the breeding and rearing of animals to keeping and feeding down to the slaughter process. We carefully and personally select all the breeders and suppliers with whom we collaborate. We know each other and know exactly how, where and under what conditions the animals are raised. This is important to us. More than important. Here’s why: Taste depends on how the animals are kept as well.
First-class meat comes from dedication when keeping and raising animals!
One relevant example are our partners Danilo and Marco Cazzamali from Romanengo in the province of Cremona in northern Italy. These men are both master butchers with all their heart and soul. They supply us with our first-class Fassona beef.
They both work exclusively with selected farms, one of which is their partner farm “Le Garzide” where the animals are raised 100 percent ethically and according to the strictest organic requirements in harmony with nature.
Care instead of chemicals: High quality meat is guaranteed!
Diego, the head of the farm “Le Garzide”, focuses on natural crop rotation and minimal soil cultivation. He avoids chemicals both for agriculture and livestock breeding, only using them as a last “life-saving” resource in extreme emergencies.
The stall is constructed so that the animals will feel comfortable. The cattle breed housed here is fed exclusively with hay from permanent pastures: A mix of bran, pea protein, locus beans, wet beet pulp, flaxseed and barley as well as corn. The majority of this comes exclusively from their own production. All of this plays a significant role in ensuring good quality of life for the cattle as well as high quality in the final product!
