MIYAZAKI CHAMPIONSHIP

The wagyu from the Miyazaki region won first place* in the overall ratings for the “NATIONAL WAGYU COMPETITION” in 2007 and 2012.


* This relates to a combination of various characteristics such as: 3 generations of wagyu, considering the DNA and form of the animals as well as lots of details such as hide, size and temperament of the cattle. Of course the meat category is particularly important as well. In 2017, Sendai and Miyazaki wagyu were 1st and 2nd in the overall ratings for the meat category once again. For us, the meat category is the most important as well.

No prefecture in Japan had ever won the title twice, let alone twice in a row. As a comparison: In 2017, Kobe didn’t even enter its wagyu in the competition.
